Suspect Released Following Drugs Raid

Heroin, cannabis and amphetamine worth an estimated €40,000 has been seized by gardaí during a search of a house in Thurles.

Two arrests were made during the search, a woman in her 20s, who has since been released, and a man in his 30s, who remains in custody.

The search was part of a planned gardaí operation to crack down on drugs in Co Tipperary following protests held by local residents.

Six Due In Court Over Cannabis Find
A total of six men are to appear court this Thursday morning over the seizure of €200,000 worth of cannabis. The men are to appear at Sligo District Court charged with drugs and immigration offences at 10.30 a.m. A total of eight people were arrested in connection with the seizure on Tuesday.

Cocaine And Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Cocaine and cannabis herb worth an estimated €34,000 has been seized in Moone, Co Kildare. As part of a planned search of a premises at Lower Belan, garda uncovered €14,000 worth of cocaine and €20,000 worth of cannabis, shortly before midnight on Sunday, 12 June.

Man Released Following Dublin Shooting
A man has been released without charge after being questioned in connection with the shooting of a boy in Dublin on Friday. The six-year-old was shot in the neck in Ballyfermot. A man was detained on suspicion of withholding information. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Man Charged Over Co Kildare Drugs Seizure
A 43-year-old man has been charged in connection with a €700,000 drugs seizure in Co Kildare. A number of cannabis plants and herb were discovered on Monday night following a planned search of premises in Athy. The man, who was arrested in Athy on Tuesday, is to appear before Naas District Court on Wednesday.
