Four Arrested In €1.5M Cocaine Haul

Two men have been placed under arrest in Dublin after a stop and search in the capital.

Gardai from the Balbriggan drug unit have seized drugs following a search of a car in Balrothery, Balbriggan Co Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.

During the operation, members of the Balbriggan Drug Unit in Balrothery, stopped a car. Cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1.5million, was seized in the car and two men were arrested.

In a follow up search of a house in Balrothery, drug paraphenellia was found and two other males were arrested.

Three of the arrested are being detained in Balbriggan Garda Station.

One man is being detained at Swords Garda Station.

Gardaí have also revealed today they have arrested a second man

Meanwhile, Gardaí have also revealed today that two teenage boys are being questioned in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Stephen Lyne in Killarney, Co Kerry, last month.

The two 17-year-olds were arrested in Killarney yesterday afternoon.

One of them presented himself voluntarily at Killarney Garda Station and was accompanied by a solicitor.

Stephen Lyne's body was found on the side of Ross Road close to his home in Killarney in the early hours of 18 June.

It is understood he had been stabbed.

Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Co Dublin
A pedestrian has died in hospital after he was hit by a car in County Dublin. The serious collision occurred on the Whitestown Road in Rush at around lunchtime on Friday 07 June. The man, aged in his 30's, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital with critical injuries but passed away on Sunday 09. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Drugs, Alcohol & Gold Bars Uncovered In Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have uncovered drugs, alcohol, gold bars and a large amount of cash. A man in his 30s was arrested following a house search in Inchicore on Thursday 05 December. The suspect was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Kevin Street Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine And Ammunition Find
Gardaí in Co Louth have seized a quantity of cocaine and 9mm ammunition following the search of a car. Cocaine worth an estimated €50,000, and a small quantity of ammunition, was uncovered when garda searched the car at about 18:00 in Drogheda on Monday. Officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the find.

Three Held In Dublin Cocaine Seizure
Three men have been arrested following the seizure of cocaine in Dublin. It is understood that 3.5kg of the drug, worth an estimated 250,000 euros, was discovered in Rathmines after being imported in cargo from Peru through Dublin Airport on Thursday. According to reports, the drugs had been sent by courier from Peru.
