Man Killed During Killkenny Collision
A man has been killed in a traffic incident in Killkenny.
The man was killed as a result of the injuries he sustained when the lorry he was driving overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other persons in the vehicle at the time, and nobody else was injured.
Gardai in Waterford are investigating collision, which occurred near Mooncoin Village in Co. Kilkenny on the main Waterford to Carrick-on-Suir road shortly after 4.15pm on Thursday. Diversions were left in place overnight.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Gardai in Waterford on 051-305300.
Meanwhile, AA Roadwatch have been advising caution due to surface water on the roads around Boyle and Galway city.
There are also strong winds and blustery conditions that could impact on drivers as well as more vulnerable road users, including cyclists and motorbikes in the area.
In Monaghan, the N54 Clones Road is closed about 2km outside Monaghan Town as Gardai deal with a crash and subsequent fuel spill.
The closure is between Monaghan town and Brandrum Bridge and a local diversion is operating until 9.30am approx.

A Status Yellow weather warning has been issued for snow and ice across ten counties. An orange wind warning has been issued for Leinster. Winds in the area may reach between 90-115 k-ph in the area. A yellow wether warning has also been put in place for Muster, Connacht, Monaghan, Cavan and Donegael. Winds of up to 80 to 100k-ph are expected. The warnings have been issued until 8pm tonight.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Monaghan Road Accident
Gardaí in Monaghan have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident on the N2 at Killmarley on Wednesday. A 70-year-old male pedestrian died after he was hit by a car at around 17:30 yesterday. The road was closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and is expected to re-open at midday.

Pensioner Dies In Co Monaghan Road Crash
A pensioner has died following a road collision in Co Monaghan. The two-vehicle incident occurred on the R188, Monaghan to Cootehill road, at Stranooden on Saturday. A passenger in one of the cars, a female aged in her 80s, was taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital, however she was later pronounced dead.
