Weather Alerts Issued For Ireland
An orange wind warning has been issued for Leinster.
Winds in the area may reach between 90-115 k-ph in the area.
A yellow wether warning has also been put in place for Muster, Connacht, Monaghan, Cavan and Donegael.
Winds of up to 80 to 100k-ph are expected.
The warnings have been issued until 8pm tonight.

Wind Farm Academy To Boost Donegal
A National Wind Energy Academy is being established at Letterkenny Institute of Technology as part of a €500,000 initiative being backed by the Donegal County Development Board. The first phase will see the development of a wind turbine maintenance programme which will be delivered in conjunction with BZEE, a German centre for renewable energy.

Offaly Co Council Urges Caution On Wind Farms
A "precautionary approach" to large-scale wind farms has been urged by Offaly County Council in a submission to the Department of the Environment, who are currently carrying out a review of wind energy guidelines.

Status Yellow Wind Warning Issued
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare. West to southwest winds of mean speeds 45 to 65km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h are expected in western coastal counties throughout Friday and in the northwest during Friday afternoon and evening.

Weather Warning Issued For All Of Ireland
Two weather warnings have been issued for the whole of Ireland by Met Éireann as Storm Dennis approaches. Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued for rainfall and wind, with heavy, thundery rain expected on Saturday. Met Éireann said that this could lead to risk of some flooding.
