Man Killed In Limerick Collision

A man has died and two have been injured after a traffic collision in Limerick.

Gardai at Askeaton have launched an investigation into the collision, which occurred on the N20, Cork to Limerick Road on the Cork side of Patrickswell, shortly after 2am on Sunday morning.

A male in his late 30s was fatally injured when the car he was driving lost control and collided with a roadside post.

He was taken to the Midwestern Regional Hospital Limerick where he was pronounced dead.

There were two passengers, one male and one female, who were taken to the Midwestern Regional Hospital Limerick with injuries described as not life threatening.

Gardai at Askeaton are appealling for witnesses that may have travelled this stretch of road at the time of the collision and who may be able to assist them with their investigation.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

Investigation Launched Following Bone Discovery In Co Clare
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a bone in Co Clare. A bone was found on Thursday, 22 September, on the Shannon riverbank at Doonass, Clonlara, on the Clare-Limerick border. Gardaí were called to the scene and are understood to have examined and photographed the scene before the bone was removed.

Limerick Stabbing Investigated
Gardaí are investigating a stabbing incident in Limerick city in which a man was injured. The incident happened around midnight in O'Malley Park in the Southill area. The man was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital Dooradoyle. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Limerick Stabbing Victim Hospitalised
A stabbing in Limerick last weekend has left a man in hospital. The man, believed to be in his thirties, reportedly suffered one stab wound when he was attacked in an apartment in Catherine Place around 11.30pm on Sunday. He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Teen Arrested After Man Is Shot In The Face In Limerick
Gardai are appealing for information after a man was shot in the face in Limerick on Sunday. A 21-year-old was shot at Hyde Road shortly after midnight. He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where his injuries are described as not life threatening. A 19-year-old has bee arrested in connection with the incident.
