Shots Fired At Limerick House

A number of shots have been fired at a house in an overnight attack in Limerick.

Three people were in the house on Hyde Road at around 1am, but it is not thought anyone was injured.

The occupants have since been moved on to another location while the scene is being examined.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, gardái were also alerted to an explosion at a house in the Bengal Terrace area at around 5am.

It is believed that a pipe bomb may have been thrown at the house.

Shots Fired At House In Limerick City
Gardaí in Limerick have arrested two men in connection with a shooting in the city. It is understood that shots were fired at a house in the New Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. A 22-year-old woman and two teenage boys who were in the house at the time, escaped without injury.

Shots Fired At House In Limerick
Garda in limerick have launched an investigation after a number of shots were fired at a house in Moyross. The family was at home in the house in Cliona Park at the time of the incident but garda have said there were no injuries. The front door of the house was damaged during the attack.

Shooting Incidents In Limerick
There were four separate shooting incidents in County Limerick overnight. A number of properties were damaged, but there were no reports of injuries. At 10.30pm in Richmond Park in the Corbally district, four shots were fired through the front door of a house. Shots were also fired at a house in Glencairn in Dooradoyle.

Shots Fired At Apartment In Donaghmede
Gardaí are investigating reports that four shots were fired at an apartment in Donaghmede in north east Dublin this morning. The dwelling at Grattan Lodge is sub-divided into apartments and investigators have closed off the area while the scene is examined. A report of shots fired was called in to Gardaí at around 1.40am.

Shots Fired At House In L'Derry
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report that shots were fired at a house in L'Derry in the early hours of Tuesday, 10 January. Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Watkin said: "It was reported just before 12.20am that two loud bangs had been heard outside an address in the Melmore Gardens area.
