Bomb Found Under Car In Dublin

An explosive device has been found under a car in Dublin yesterday.

Officers at Sundrive Road and Crumlin Garda Stations were dispatched to Raleigh Square, Crumlin, in Dublin after a being alerted to a potential bomb.

On arrival at the scene a device was discovered under a car parked outside a house in the area. Gardaí moved in and cordoned off the area and householders were cautioned to leave their homes.

The the army Explosive Ordnance Team were called to the scene and carried out a controlled explosion on the device.

It was then removed to Cathal Brugha Barracks where further examinations established the device to be a viable. Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.

Pipe Bomb Defused In Dublin
Army bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion on a pipe bomb hidden underneath a car in west Dublin. In just the latest such incident, gardaí were alerted to the device in Ballyfermot at around 8.30am on Monday. The Defence Forces' bomb disposal team were called to the scene at Blackditch Road.

Bomb Thrown At House In South Dublin
Gardai have launched an investigation after an explosive device was thrown at a house in south Dublin. The attack took place on the Clogher Road near Crumlin shortly before midnight on Tuesday. The bomb partially exploded and caused some damage to the front of the house, but no one was injured.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

Suspicious Device Found At Dublin Pub
Bomb disposal experts were tasked to a Dublin pub on Sunday morning, after being alerted to the finding of a suspicious device. Experts examined the device found outside the north Dublin Jolly Toper premises, concealed in a package located in a vehicle in the car park on Church Street, Finglas at around 8.30am.
