Woman Killed In Waterford Crash

A women has been killed and two others injured following a road crash in Co Waterford.

Gardaí at Tramore, Co Waterford are investigating fatal collision, which occurred yesterday at approximately 8.20pm at Carrigmoorna, Leamybrien, Co Waterford.

The 58-year-old female front seat passenger was fatally injured when the car she was travelling in collided with a wall. The male driver and other female passenger in the car were taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.

The scene of the collision has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Driver Killed In Co Waterford Bus Crash
A bus carrying 29 passengers has been involved in a collision on the N25 at Grange, Ardmore, Co Waterford. The accident happened at about 10:10pm on Tuesday night, with the bus leaving the road and entering a field. The bus driver was fatally injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital.

Former Irish Times Editor Dies
Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home. Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times. She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.
