Driver Killed In Co Waterford Bus Crash

A bus carrying 29 passengers has been involved in a collision on the N25 at Grange, Ardmore, Co Waterford.

The accident happened at about 10:10pm on Tuesday night, with the bus leaving the road and entering a field.

The bus driver was fatally injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital.

None of the 29 passengers were injured in the crash.

Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to contact Dungarvan Garda Station on 058 48600, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

Garda Injured In Cork
A garda has been injured while on duty in Cork on Monday night. The sergeant has been treated in hospital but has been discharged. He was bringing a patient, aged in his 20s, to the Mercy University Hospital just after 6pm. The garda is based at Gurranabraher Garda Station.

Two Killed In Bus Collision
Two men have been killed after colliding with a bus in Galway. The collision occurred after a car and a bus collided resulting in the driver and passenger in the car being fatally injured. Both driver and passenger were male and in their 30’s. Three other passengers in the car were taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.

Four Arrested Over Armed Robbery At Jewellers
Four men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a jewellery shop in Galway. Garda said the men were arrested in connection with the robbery of Hartmann's Jewellers on William Street at about 10:45 on Wednesday morning. It is understood four masked men, one believed to have been armed, entered the shop and threatened staff.

Two Bus Crashes Hit North Co Dublin
A total of 10 people are in hospital after two separate bus crashes in north Co Dublin this morning. In the fist incident, six people were hospitalised after a bus and a van collided in the Rush area of the capital. Three passengers and a Dublin Bus driver, along with the driver and passenger of the van, were injured in the crash at 7.
