Gardaí Seize €200,000 Of Heroin In Ballyfermot
Gardaí have arrested a man following a drugs bust on a home in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin.
According to a Gardaí spokesman, the seizure was a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in West Dublin. Gardaí from the Ballyfermot drugs unit were searching a house in the Ronanstown area of the capital when they made the discovery.
The search took place at approximately 5.00pm on Tuesday evening where over a kilogramme of heroin was seized.
This seizure has a street value in excess of €200, 000, depending on forensic analysis.
A 34-year-old male was arrested and is presently detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

Cocaine and cannabis herb worth an estimated €34,000 has been seized in Moone, Co Kildare. As part of a planned search of a premises at Lower Belan, garda uncovered €14,000 worth of cocaine and €20,000 worth of cannabis, shortly before midnight on Sunday, 12 June.

Two separate Gardaí operations conducted yesterday have recovered almost half a million euro in illegal drugs. In the first operation last night, Gardaí from the North Central Drugs Unit in Dublin carried out a search of a car at Bellewstown Co Meath. During the course of the search, 3kg of Cocaine was discovered.

Man Shot By Gang In Dublin
A 20-year-old man has been shot in the Ballyfermot area of west Dublin overnight. According to Gardaí, a gang of men attacked the victim, who is from the Ballyfermot area, on the grounds behind the Cherry Orchard Hospital around 10.00pm. The attackers shot the man in the lower body, before making their getaway in two cars.
