Bank Staff Threatened With Machete

A bank in Co Tipperary was robbed this morning.

Gardaí said nobody was physically injured in the incident but staff were very shocked.

It happened at the AIB branch in the village of Clogheen which was held-up around 10.30am this morning by two men, one carrying a machete.

Dressed in overalls, the pair entered the bank, threatened staff and locked them in a room while the robbery took place.

An undisclosed quantity of money was stolen.

Two Men Arrested Following Armed Robbery In Dublin
Gardai have arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery at a petrol station in Dublin on Tuesday evening. The robbery occurred on the Stillorgan Road in Blackrock at around 6.30pm. The men, armed with a gun and a hammer, threatened staff and demanded money. They fled the scene with a sum of cash.
