Shot Fired At A House In Dublin

A family of four escaped injury after a gunman fired a shot at a house in west Dublin.

The attack took place at round 2.30am this morning when one bullet was fired at the front downstairs window of the home in Hazelwood View, Clondalkin.

Two adults and two children were in the house at the time and no-one was injured.

A garda spokesman said no arrests were made and an investigation is ongoing.

Investigation Launches After Two Houses Shot At In Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation in to two gun attacks on Wednesday night. At about 23:15 shots were fired at a house on Lissadell Road, Drimnagh. There were three people in the house, but all escaped injury. A few minutes later more shots were fired at another house on Walkinson Drive.

Three Die In Separate House Fires
Two men and a woman have died in three separate house fires in Limerick and Kerry. In the latest incident, a man in his 60s died following a house fire in Tralee in Co Kerry. The fire broke out in the terraced house in Connolly Park at about 9.30pm yesterday. Gardaí were called to the scene at around 9.
