Robbers Speedy Cash Withdrawal

Four masked men have stolen an unknown amount of cash in Dublin today.

Two shots were fired as the robbers, one armed with a handgun, held up security staff at an ATM machine at the Hillcrest Shopping Centre, Lucan at 12 noon.

A Garda spokesman said: "At least two shots were fired during the course of the robbery and the raiders escaped with a substantial amount of cash."

The thieves escaped in a silver BMW which took off in the direction of the N4 road.

Garda� from Lucan Garda Station have appealed for information from witnesses.

Shots Fired At Apartment In Donaghmede
Gardaí are investigating reports that four shots were fired at an apartment in Donaghmede in north east Dublin this morning. The dwelling at Grattan Lodge is sub-divided into apartments and investigators have closed off the area while the scene is examined. A report of shots fired was called in to Gardaí at around 1.40am.

Teen Due In Court Over Car Related Thefts
A man in his late teens is due in court over a burglary, an unauthorised taking of a car and thefts from six separate vehicles in the Castleconnell area of Limerick. The suspect was arrested on Sunday morning, 10 November following the incidents on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 September.

Dublin Shooting Believed To Be Connected To Organised Crime
Gardaí investigating the murder of a 27-year-old man in Dublin on Thursday morning believe it is connected to organised crime. Paul Kavanagh, a father-of-two from Drimnagh, had just driven away from his home when his car was rammed by an Audi A3. Two men in balaclavas fired several shots at Mr Kavanagh, who died at the scene.

Man Arrested And 'Large Amount' Of Cash Seized In Co Monaghan Raid
Gardaí in Co Monaghan have seized a "large amount" of cash and property during a planned search on Monday. Local garda supported the Criminal Assets Bureau in searching a premises near Castleblaney in Co Monaghan, where approximately €300,000 in cash was uncovered. Garda seized the money along with a bulldozer, a car and a van.

Man Critical After Tallaght Shooting
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in Tallaght in Dublin. The shooting happened outside a shopping centre on St Dominic's Road shortly before 10pm on Thursday night. The man, who is in his 40s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital following the incident where he is believed to be in a critical condition.
