Dublin Shooting Believed To Be Connected To Organised Crime
Gardaí investigating the murder of a 27-year-old man in Dublin on Thursday morning believe it is connected to organised crime.
Paul Kavanagh, a father-of-two from Drimnagh, had just driven away from his home when his car was rammed by an Audi A3. Two men in balaclavas fired several shots at Mr Kavanagh, who died at the scene.
According to garda the killers crashed their car as they tried to escape, and set fire to the Audi before making off on foot.
Garda said they are trying to establish a motive for the murder and are following a number of lines of inquiry.

Man Arrested In Connection With Co Cavan NYE Murder
Gardaí have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with a stabbing incident in Co Cavan on New Year's Eve. Marek Swider was fatally stabbed in a violent incident at a house on Dublin Street in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday, 31 December. The arrest was made in Cork city this morning, Thursday 04 January.

Specially Adapted Car Stolen In Lucan Recovered
A specially adapted car stolen in Lucan, Dublin, on Monday 25 April, has been recovered. Gardaí issued an appeal for information on Tuesday after the black Audi A6 was stolen from the owners driveway. It is understood no damage was caused the car when garda recovered it. Garda thanked the public for their help.
