Olympic Coach Guilty Of Sexual Abuse

A former Irish Olympic coach secretly recorded confessing to his crimes has been found guilty of sexually abusing a young female athlete for almost eight years.

64-year-old Keith Francis Burns of Silverhead, Enniskillen, denied assaulting the girl but was unanimously convicted of seven of the nine charges.

The victim was aged between 12 and 19 at the time of the abuse.

Burns was taped by the girl, who is now 25, and her parents in a local bar confessing he was guilty of "four or five serious offences", and had done "things which should not have happened".
