Road Accident Takes Life Of Seven Year-Old

A road accident has left a seven year-old boy dead and others injured in a collision in Co Kildare.

A woman in her 30s and two other children were also injured in the collision, which involved a car and a lorry in Nurney on Friday morning.

The seven year-old boy was fatally injured during the crash and taken to Naas General Hospital, the woman and two other children were taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise were they are said to seriously injured.

The driver of the lorry escaped unharmed and the road has been closed to motorists by gardaí who are investigating the incident.

Woman Killed In Co Longford Collision
A woman has died in a three-car collision in Co Longford. The crash happened on the R198 at Cloonagh at around 7.20pm on Thursday, 30 November. A 34-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people were also injured, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The road has since been re-opened.

Man Dies In Blarney Road Crash
A man has been killed in a two vehicle road crash that occurred between Parkanna Cross Rd and Davis Cross on the Blarney to Bweeng Road at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday. The man in his 20's was fatally injured when his car collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Seriously Injured In Co Clare Crash
A man is in a serious condition in hospital following a road crash in Co Clare. The collision happened on the Ennis to Kilrush Road at around 9am on Monday, 06 August. The man was the only person in the vehicle. He is believed to be in a serious condition in Limerick University Hospital.

Woman Seriously Injured In Three-Car Accident
A woman has been seriously injured following a three-car collision on the N4 Dublin/Sligo Road. The crash occurred on the Edgeworth Road at approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday (7 January). The woman is currently being treated at Midland Regional Hospital. The main Dublin/Sligo Road has been closed and diversions are in place.
