Woman Tied-up And Robbed In Louth

A woman in her early 40s was threatened and bound in Louth last night after three men masked men broke into her home.

The men entered the house on Commons Road in Dromiskin shortly after 9pm yesterday.

Gardaí say the three wore dark clothing and had their faces covered.

They escaped with a small amount of cash and some electronic items.

The woman, who was on her own at the time, managed to free herself and raise the alarm.

She was taken to Drogheda Hospital but later released with minor injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area of the Commons Road between 8pm and 9.30pm on Sunday and may have noticed anything unusual to contact Ardee Garda Station on 041 6871139 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Men Held After Shotgun Attack
Three men are being questioned following a shooting incident in Dublin. Two men were injured when a shotgun was fired at them and soon afterwards, three men were arrested following a Garda chase. The victims' injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Garda Recover Money Conned Out Of Elderly Dublin Woman
All the money taken by conmen from an 83-year-old Dublin woman, has been recovered, gardaí have reported. A group of men took €3,000 from Kathleen Byrne after convincing her that urgent work needed to be done on the roof of her home. The men took the money and never returned.

Drugs And Guns Seized In Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have seized drugs and guns from a house in the city. Three men and a woman were arrested in connection with the discovery of 9mm handgun and ammunition and a sawn off shotgun, along with a quantity of cannabis and heroin, worth an estimated €15,000.

Three Arrested Following Drugs Find In Dublin
Three people have been arrested after cocaine worth €270,000 was seized from a house in Dublin. Gardai raided a property on St. Mark's Avenue in Clondalkin at around 9pm on Tuesday night. A woman, 25, and two men, aged 26 and 53, were arrested at the scene. They are being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station and Lucan Garda Station.
