Teen Robbery Suspects Held In Limerick

Police officers in Limerick have arrested two teenagers in connection with attempted armed robberies in the city this morning.

Two post offices in Garryowen and Clonlara were involved, but no money was taken in either of the raids.

The thieves, one of whom was armed with a handgun, targeted the Garryowen post office at around 9.30am before attempting a second robbery on the post office in Clonlara around 11am.

The two youths being questioned in connection with the incident were detained when Gardai stopped a car on the Corbally road a short time later.

Gardaí Investigate Attempted Robbery At Tipperary Post Office
Gardaí in Co Tipperary are investigating an attempted robbery of Cahir post office. According to gardaí, the robbers used a JCB to gain entry to the post office but were disturbed and fled the scene. The incident occurred at around 5am on Wednesday morning.

Woman Arrested Over Kerry Post Office Raid
A woman has been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a post office in Co Kerry. The suspect was arrested at around 5.30pm in Killarney on Thursday, 04 August. A sum of cash was stolen from Waterville Post Office at around 11am on Wednesday, 03 August. Two men were arrested in the area after the incident.

Officers Seize €20,000 At Knock Airport
Revenue officers seized €20,000 in cash from a couple who landed in Knock airport having returned from Lanzarote. The can was concealed in items of clothing and carry-on luggage. The cash was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act and investigations are continuing.

Man Arrested And Released In Garda Station Money Theft Investigation
A man arrested on Thursday morning in connection with €9,000 missing from Balbriggan Garda Station has been released without charge. The money was part of €26,000 recovered by gardaí after it was stolen during an armed robbery at Lusk post office in January.
