Man Arrested And Released In Garda Station Money Theft Investigation

A man arrested on Thursday morning in connection with €9,000 missing from Balbriggan Garda Station has been released without charge.

The money was part of €26,000 recovered by gardaí after it was stolen during an armed robbery at Lusk post office in January.

€9,000 was discovered to be missing when the owner of the cash arrived at the station to collect it. A small tear was found in the bag.

The money has not been recovered.
