Irish Man Killed In Accident In Russia

A Co Meath man has been electrocuted in a tragic accident in Russia.

Martin Kerrane, 26, was electrocuted during a train journey in the Omsk region of Siberia at the weekend.

It was reported that the accident happened as he got off the train and accidentally touched an electrical cable.

Mr Kerrane was a bodhrán player who had been in the 'Rhythm of the Dance' show.

It is understood that his body is being returned to Ireland.

Man And Woman Rescued From Island After Boating Accident
Rescuers have found two people alive and recovered the body of a third off the coast of west Cork. It is understood that that two men and a woman left Schull harbour on a yacht on Wednesday afternoon but failed to return later that evening as expected. An air and sea rescue operation was launched to search for the yacht.

Missing Man Body Recovered From Lake
The body of missing Crossmaglen man Padraig Campbell has been found. The 37-year-old’s body was recovered from a lake in Co Monaghon last night. Campbell, of Drumbroy Road, Castleblaney, has been missing from the 18 March. Gardai have described his death as a tragic accident, however a post-mortem will be carried out.

Two Cork Plane Crash Victims Buried
The funerals of two of the Northern Ireland victims of the Cork air crash are due to be held later today. Pat Cullinan, a 45-year-old senior partner with the international accountancy firm KPMG, is to be buried after requiem mass in St Patrick's Church in the village of Cranagh near Plumbridge in Co Tyrone.
