Irish Man Killed In Accident In Russia

A Co Meath man has been electrocuted in a tragic accident in Russia.

Martin Kerrane, 26, was electrocuted during a train journey in the Omsk region of Siberia at the weekend.

It was reported that the accident happened as he got off the train and accidentally touched an electrical cable.

Mr Kerrane was a bodhrán player who had been in the 'Rhythm of the Dance' show.

It is understood that his body is being returned to Ireland.

Off-Duty Garda Injured In Stabbing Incident In Co Limerick
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a stabbing incident in Co Limerick on Sunday night. An off-duty garda officer was stabbed in the hand in an incident at Bruach na Sionna, Castleconnell, shortly after 9pm. He was taken to University Hospital Limerick with what was described as minor injuries.

Young Man Dies After Sea Rescue Off Donegal Coast
A young man has died after he was recovered from the sea off the Donegal coast. The man, aged in his mid-20's, was found in the Ballyshannon Estuary on Sunday and rushed to Sligo University Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Elderly Man Found Collapsed In Dublin Park In Freezing Conditions
An elderly man remains in hospital after he was found collapsed in a Dublin park in freezing conditions. According to reports, the man, aged in his 80s, was discovered close to the entrance of Tymon Park in Tallaght by two off duty nurses. It is understood that the nurses gave the man medical assistance while waiting on an ambulance.
