Kilkenny Hotel Raids Investigated
Gardaí are investigating separate raids at two Kilkenny hotels, which took place in the early hours of Monday morning.
The first incident happened at the Springhill Court Hotel on the Waterford Road around 2:30am.
Three men confronted the night porter and forced him to hand over a sum of cash from the office safe.
They then tied the man up and left the scene in what was described as a blue SUV.
The second incident happened at the Lyrath House Hotel on the Carlow Road about half an hour later.
In this incident, two men, who were believed to be armed with knives, confronted the night porter and removed the safe from the hotel. They are reported to have fled the scene in an SUV, which was either silver, or blue in colour.
Gardaí are also investigating the discovery of a 1993 Dublin-registered blue Mitsubishi Pajero, which was found a short distance from the Lyrath Hotel. It is being preserved for technical examination.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

Body Find Investigated
Gardaí at Rathfarnham are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a male in his early 40s at a house on Edmundstown Road. The grim discovery was made this morning at approximately 10am (Friday 20 March). Gardai were at the scene this afternoon and the state pathologist has been notified.

Donegal Post Office Robbery Investigated
Gardaí in Co Donegal have launched an investigation after a post office in Ramelton was robbed. It is understood that the robbery was carried out by three men, who escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Man Arrested Over Missing Athlone Man
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of 41-year-old Adrian Folan have arrested a man in Galway. Mr Folan has been missing since 03 July when he was last seen in Athlone Town. Garda say that they have arrested a man aged in his 40s as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Mr Folan.
