Two Held Over Tipperary Shooting

Two people have been arrested following a shooting incident in Clonmel, County Tipperary last night.

The man and woman were arrested after a man in his 30s was shot in the leg at a car park on New Quay near the Gashouse Bridge/Old Waterford Road area shortly after midnight.

The man was taken by ambulance to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel and his condition is described as stable.

Both the man and the woman are being detained at Clonmel Garda Station.

Man Killed In Co Tipperary Crash
A man in his 50s has died in a road traffic collision in County Tipperary. The crash occurred on the N24 Lillaloan Lower outside Clonmel, close to the Bulmers factor at around 11pm last night, Wednesday 17 April. The victim's car is believed to have collided with a truck.

Appeal Launched For Missing Tipperary Man
An appeal for the public's assistance has been launched over the disappearance of a 24-year-old man from Tipperary. Gardai from Clonmel said they are appealing for the public's assistance in locating Christopher Cronin who went missing on the 2nd January. Christopher was last seen shortly after midnight on Monday at the Gashouse Bridge, Clonmel.

Shock Clonmel Stab Death: Man Held
A woman has died and a man injured in a double stabbing in rural Co Tipperary. Gardaí from Cahir were called to a cottage at Ballynamuddagh near Grange in Clonmel at around 12.30am on Tuesday morning. A woman was found with serious injuries and taken to South Tipperary General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.
