Roads Claim Latest Victim

A young woman - aged just 19 - has been killed in road collision in Co Tipperary.

The victim was the sole occupant of a car when it collided with another vehicle on the Cahir to Clonmel Road at Rathmore shortly before 8am this morning.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was later taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel.

A man, 38, who was driving the second vehicle, received minor injuries in the collision. The road was closed for a time to allow for a forensic examination of the crash site.

Witnesses are asked to contact the gardaí in Cahir on 052 7445630 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Appeal Issued For Missing Tipperary Man
Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing missing Tipperary man John Esmonde. The 38-year-old has been missing since around 22:00 on Wednesday 11 March. When last seen he was wearing a dark jacket, blue denim trousers and a black woollen hat. He is believed to have been carrying a brown shopping bag.

Teenager Missing In Co Tipperary
Gardaí in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, have appealed for information into the whereabouts of a missing teenager. Sophie Burke, 18, was last seen leaving her home at Elm Park, Clonmel, on 02 December. She is described as 5ft in height, with black mid-length hair which was tied up in a ponytail, and brown eyes.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Tipperary have reported the death of a 28-year-old man in a single-vehicle road crash in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to garda, the crash happened at Rathronan in Clonmel at about 1am. The vehicle, in which the victim was a front seat passenger, hit a ditch.

Appeal Launched For Missing Tipperary Man
An appeal for the public's assistance has been launched over the disappearance of a 24-year-old man from Tipperary. Gardai from Clonmel said they are appealing for the public's assistance in locating Christopher Cronin who went missing on the 2nd January. Christopher was last seen shortly after midnight on Monday at the Gashouse Bridge, Clonmel.

Three Young Males Killed In Separate Crashes
Ireland's roads have been a theatre of tragedy for three young men this weekend, after a string of fatalities. In the most recent incident, a man aged 27 was fatally injured when the SUV and trailer he was driving crashed at Shangort, Partry, Castlebar. There was no other vehicle involved in the crash.
