Dublin City Council's Night-Time Economy Advisor joins forces with Dublin Fringe Festival for Nocturnal Beats, a month-long celebration of late-night culture backed by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

This September, the partners launch Nocturnal Beats to champion the artists, venues, promoters and audiences who animate Dublin after dark. Running alongside Dublin Fringe Festival 2026, the initiative showcases a lively trail of night-time events, performances and experiences across the city.

The programme spans outdoor stages, live music, club culture, cabaret, drag, dance floors and immersive performance, highlighting the creativity and diversity of Dublin at night and recognising nightlife as a vital strand of the city's cultural life. Ray O'Donoghue, Dublin City Night-Time Economy Advisor, said: "Club culture is an important part of Dublin's cultural life, but sometimes it can get pushed to the side or simply not get the recognition it deserves. When you look at the dynamic and diverse line-up across Nocturnal Beats, you can see that this culture is very much alive and thriving in Dublin.

"Sometimes what it needs is the support, space and respect to allow it to flourish. That's what we're trying to do here – support the artists, promoters and venues who make Dublin such an interesting city after dark."

A marquee moment arrives on Culture Night, Friday 18 September, when BIG FAT SLUT stages a free outdoor street party on Parliament Street from 7pm to 11pm as part of Culture Night Late.

Across the month, audiences can explore venues and spaces citywide, with everything from outdoor parties and late-night club events to drag, cabaret, live music, wrestling and immersive performance.
