Man Dies In Three Car Collision In Limerick

Gardaí at Henry Street have issued an appeal for information following a fatal three vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on O'Curry Street, Limerick last night, Wednesday 04 March at approximately 9:40pm.

A male in his 60s was injured when the car he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle on O'Curry Street, before colliding with a wall. The stationary vehicle then collided with a third stationary vehicle. The male was treated at the scene by emergency services before being removed to University Hospital Limerick where he later passed away. Both stationary vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the collision.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently at the scene and the road is currently closed.

Gardaí are appealing to any road users, particularly those who may have dashcam footage to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400, the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardai Investigate Robbery In Limerick
Gardai are investigating a robbery which in Limerick this morning on Wednesday morning. A man entered a hotel on Dock Road and threatened the receptionist with a syringe. He fled the scene with a cash box. Gardai pursued the man along Windmill Apartments where he was arrested. The 30 year old is currently being held at Henry Street Garda Station.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Darren Cogan Murder
Three people are in custody in connection with the murder of Darren Cogan. Mr Cogan, 22, was shot dead in a bar on Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore, two years ago. A man entered the premises on his own and fired a number of shots. Mr Cogan was fatally shot and his pal, who he was drinking with at the time, was also injured in the attack.

Man Dies In Co Kerry Road Collision
A man has died in a road collision in County Kerry. The man, 51, was killed after his 4x4 vehicle collided with a signpost in Listowel at approximately 8.40pm on Monday night. He was taken to Kerry General Hospital but was later pronounced dead. The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place.
