Woman's Body Discovered In Ennis
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in Ennis early today, Tuesday 04 February.
The body was found at about 6am this morning by a passer-by on a walkway alongside the River Fergus.
It is understood that garda do not believe the woman's death to be suspicious "at this stage". An investigation into the cause of death has been launched.
The woman's body was removed to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The scene has been secured to allow for a forensic examination.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Mill Road, Wood Quay or the River Fergus walk areas of the town last night or early this morning to contact them.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Cork River Death Probed
The body of a woman has been recovered from the River Lee in Cork city. The body of the 53-year-old woman was found in the river around 4am on Thursday morning and has now been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem to take place. Preliminary results have reportedly indicated that she died of drowning.

Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.
