Womans Body Found In Waterford
The body of a woman has been discovered in a Waterford residence on Monday.
Gardai at Waterford are investigating the circumstances following the discovery of the dead woman in her early 50s in Closegate, Waterford in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The Garda Technical Bureau has preserved the scene for technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
The news comes soon after the body of a woman was been found in a flat in Dun Laoghaire.
The body was that of a female in her late 20s, found at a flat in Georges Place, Dun Laoghaire shortly before 11pm on Saturday night.
Shortly before 5am on Sunday morning, a male in his early 30s was arrested in connection with the investigation but was released yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí are continuing with their inquiries into both cases.

A series of public hearings are to be held to discuss the ongoing issues with Waterford Mortuary, after a number of pathologists condemned the condition of the facility. Consultants claimed dead bodies had been left on trolleys at the University Hospital Waterford, causing body fluids to leak on the floor.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Gardaí in Waterford City have said the body of a woman has been found at a house in St John's Park. The Fire Brigade found the body, understood to be a woman aged in her 60s, at about 18:00 on Tuesday at a house in Killure Grove.
