Garda Officers Injured In Ramming Incident In Co Leitrim

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following an incident in which a patrol car was rammed and two officers injured in Co Leitrim.

Gardaí on patrol in Mohill at about 4.30am saw two suspected stolen vehicles enter a car park of a Centra store. When garda entered the car park, one of the suspect vehicles, a 4x4, rammed the patrol, injuring the two female officers.

According to reports, up to five people fled the scene in the second vehicle, which was found crashed a short time later, with a man, aged in his 30s, trapped inside. He was freed from the vehicle and taken to Sligo University Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

In a follow-up operation, two men and a juvenile were arrested in connection with the incident.

Woman 'Seriously Injured' By Gardaí Patrol Car

Man Killed Following Dublin Robbery
A man has been found killed in the car park of a shop in Dublin after an attempted robbery on Thursday night. Details of the killing are still emerging, but gardaí at Clontarf Garda Station have launched an investigation into the death of the man in his twenties on what is thought to be the escape route of the robber.

Man Arrested After Woman Abducted From Her Home In Co Longford
A man has been arrested after a woman was abducted from her home in Co Longford. The incident happened near Edgeworthstown just after 4pm on Saturday. The mother-of-four was violently abducted from her home when she was looking after her children. Three other children were also in the house at the time.
