Three Arrested As Garda Seize Semi-Automatic Pistol

Three men have been arrested after Gardaí seized a suspected firearm and ammunition during a search in Dublin.

The semi-automatic pistol and ammunition were recovered from a vehicle on Oscar Trayner Road, Dublin 5, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday 30 October.

The occupants of the vehicle, aged 23, 24 and 53, were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 and are currently detained at Ballymena and Coolock garda stations.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing following the discovery which came after the seizure of a large quantity of drugs on Tuesday.

Gun And Ammunition Recovered In Search

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Man Arrested After Dublin Arms Find
Gardaí last night arrested a man in Dublin after a second arms find within two days. Officers revealed this morning they had discovered a firearm and ammunition in the Ballyfermot area of the Capital last night. According to Gardaí, the arrest was made as a part of an ongoing operation into organized criminal activities.
