Dublin's College Green Hosting Car Free Day

Dublin's College Green is set to go car-free this Sunday, 22 September, as part of European Mobility Week.

The event will highlight the environmental and health benefits of a sustainable urban mobility culture.

The surrounding area in Dublin City Centre will be closed to motorised traffic and cyclists from 7am to 7pm to facilitate a variety of fun activities and events.

Road closures include:

• Dame Street, George's Street junction, to College Green

• No vehicle access to Anglesea Street from Dame Street

• No vehicle access from Fownes Street Upper to Dame Street

• No vehicle access to Foster Place South

• No vehicle access to Cope Street

• No vehicle access to Dame Street from College Green

• No vehicle access from Church Lane to Dame Street

• No vehicle access to Trinity Street from Dame Street

• No vehicle access to St. Andrew's Street from Dame Street.

Garda Appeal For Information On Street Robbery In Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have issued an appeal for information following a robbery on Mount Street Upper earlier this week. On 13 August 2018 at approximately 6.50pm a man, aged in his 50s, got out of his car on Mount Street Upper and walked towards the junction of Mount Street and Fitzwilliam Street Lower junction.

Dept For Arts To 'Carefully Study' High Street Judgement On Moore Street
The Department for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht have said that they will "carefully study" the High Court judgement on Moore Street. Minister Heather Humphreys said: "This was a complex case and the judgement, which runs to more than 400 pages, needs to be studied in detail.
