Arrests As Waxwork Heads Stolen From Museum

Gardaí have arrested two people on suspicion of stealing statues from the Wax Museum in Dublin.

Three heads disappeared from the Westmoreland Street attraction on Wednesday 21 August.

Two were later recovered by staff with assistance from members of the public, while the third was seized when gardaí stopped a man and a woman nearby.

The pair were both arrested and are due in court.

Garda Make Arrests Over Shooting In Mulhuddart
Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating a shooting incident which occurred at a public house in Mulhuddart last Saturday. Two men have been arrested and a number of searches have been carried out. A number of shots were fired at the front door of a Public house around 11.50pm injuring a 50-year-old man. His injuries are not life threatening.

Two Arrests As €178k Cash & €50k Drugs Seized In Galway
Gardaí have made two arrests in connection with the seizure of €178,500 in cash and cocaine worth €50,000 in Galway. A number of drug manufacturing components were also discovered during the intelligence led operation into the sale and supply of drugs in the area on Sunday evening, 19 January.

Three Arrests As Drugs Seized In Co Kerry
Gardaí have arrested two men and a woman following the seizure of €4,150 of suspected drugs and €1,700 in cash in Co Kerry. The drugs were discovered and men, aged in their early and late 20s, and a woman, aged in her early 20s, arrested following a search of a house in the Cois Abhainn area of Tralee on Saturday 09 November.

Cocaine Seized At Port Of Cork
Customs officers have seized cocaine worth an estimated €1.75m hidden in a shipping container at the Port of Cork. It is understood that officials were inspecting containers being unloaded from a vessel that had arrived from Central America. Gardaí confirmed that an investigation has been launched but no arrests have yet been made.
