Overseas Visitors To Ireland Increase 3.4% In June 2019
The total number of overseas trips to Ireland increased by 3.4% to 1,061,800 in June 2019, according to the latest Central Statistics Office (CSO) figures.
In the new Overseas Travel report, the CSO reveal that trips by residents of Great Britain decreased by 1.1% to 311,700 while trips by residents of European Countries other than Great Britain (Other Europe) increased by 1.8% to 372,800.
Trips by residents of USA and Canada to Ireland increased by 9.1% to 300,900 while trips to Ireland from Other Areas increased by 10.7% to 76,400.
The total number of overseas trips made by Irish residents during June 2019 increased by 1.6% to 892,600.
The total number of trips (Irish residents' trips overseas plus trips to Ireland) in June 2019 increased by 2.6% to 1,954,400 when compared to twelve months earlier.
In the six months to the end of June 2019, the total number of trips to Ireland increased by 3.6% when compared with the same period in 2018. Irish residents' trips overseas during the same period increased by 7.4%.

The number of people visiting Ireland from overseas has increased by more than 70,000 over the past year, the latest figures from the Central Statistic Office have revealed. There were 569,300 overseas trips to Ireland last November, compared to 497,500 in the same month the previous year.
