A yellow status weather warning has been put in place across Ireland today, 24 June, warning of thundery downpours.

The warning is in place from 12pm until 10pm, especially in Munster and Leinster. This may lead to some spot flooding.

Despite the warnings, Met Éireann expects many places to stay dry for the day. Early morning mist and fog will gradually clear and there will be good sunshine during the day.

The rest of the week looks brighter, with temperatures expected to get between 19 to 23 degrees tomorrow afternoon.
