Garda Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Bray

An investigation has been launched into an assault incident in County Wicklow.

According to reports, a man aged in his 60s was allegedly assaulted on Adelaide Road in Bray at about 8pm. It is understood that the man suffered head wounds and remains in a serious condition at St Vincent's Hospital.

Gardaí investigating a serious sexual assault of a female that occurred in the Connolly Rd / Vicars Rd area of Ballyphehane, Cork, in the early hours of 24 August, have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.
