Dublin Port Tunnel Closed Following Serious Collision

Dublin's Port Tunnel has been closed South Bound following a serious collision.

It is understood that emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision. No further details of the collision have been released.

But garda has said that the ban on five axle trucks in Dublin city centre has been lifted.

Motorists have been warned to expect long delays on the M50/M1 approach.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses After Cyclist Is Hit By Bus
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist was hit by a bus in south Dublin. According to gardaí, a 55-year-old woman was hit by a bus while cycling at about 21:40 on Burlington Road on Monday night. She is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital, where her condition is described as serious.

Dublin Port Tunnel Closed Following Accident
The Dublin Port Tunnel is currently closed following a road traffic collision early on Friday morning. It is understood a truck has overturned in the north bore tunnel, and emergency services are using the south bore tunnel to access the scene. The 5 axle ban for Dublin City has been lifted due to the Port Tunnel collision.
