GP Surgery Daubed With Anti-Abortion Graffiti

A GP practice in County Longford has been daubed with anti-abortion graffiti overnight.

The incident saw the Longford Medical Centre on the outskirts of Longford town vandalised on Sunday 17 February.

The graffiti, sprayed on the front of the building in black and white paint, is critical of both Government abortion policy and the media.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued Across 11 Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rain across 11 counties. The warning, which came into effect at 7am this morning, is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, when it will be reviewed.

Shots Fired At House In Longford Town
A number of shots were fired at a house outside Longford town last night. Nobody was injured and minor damage was caused to the house on the Dublin Road. The attack happened just before midnight. It is believed the incident is the latest in a series of attacks, in connection with a feud between families and travellers in the area.

Deadly Road Toll Rises As Dangerous Driving Conditions Continue
Although a motorist was killed last night in Donegal, so far, there are no reports of injury in a series of crashes in the county this morning due to ice on the roads. Parts of Co Donegal have come to a virtual standstill as severe frost and ice has left roads in many parts of the county in extremely dangerous condition.
