Dublin Stabbing Prompts Two Arrests

Two people have been arrested following a stabbing in Dublin city centre over the weekend.

The incident happened on Essex Quay at around 4.40pm on Sunday 09 December.

A man in his late 20's was treated at the scene and taken to St James' Hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

A male and female suspect, both in their 20's, were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Pearse Street Station.

Gardaí officers sealed off part of the south quays and closed the route to traffic for several hours following the incident.

Motorcyclist Killed In Dublin Collision
A motorcyclist has been killed following a collision in Dublin on Friday morning. The man died after his bike collided with a truck in the North Wall Quay area at approximately 7.30am. Gardaí have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Body Found In Burnt Out Car
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a body in a burnt out car in Co Louth on Thursday evening. The body was found in the vehicle around 19.00 at Gyles Quay, near Lordship, and Garda in Dundalk are appealing for information and potential witnesses.

Trawler Being Towed To Safety Off Wexford Coast
A large trawler that got into difficulty last night off the coast of County Wexford is being towed to safety. Following engine difficulty, the 27m vessel, Endurance, was reported to be drifting at around 11.30pm last night. The Kilmore Quay lifeboat is due to arrive at Rosslare Harbour before 10.
