Trawler Being Towed To Safety Off Wexford Coast

A large trawler that got into difficulty last night off the coast of County Wexford is being towed to safety.

Following engine difficulty, the 27m vessel, Endurance, was reported to be drifting at around 11.30pm last night.

The Kilmore Quay lifeboat is due to arrive at Rosslare Harbour before 10.00am this morning after towing the Endurance all night.

The three-man trawler, which fishes out of Clogherhead, was built in the year 2000.

Over 660 Motorists Found Speeding Over Easter Bank Holidays
More than 660 motorists were caught breaking the speed limit across the Causeway Coast and Glens during the Easter bank holiday weekend – an increase of 22% from 2022. Fresh Drink-Drive Plans To Be Revealed
Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey is to outline fresh plans to lower the drink-driving limit at a meeting of the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party this evening. A number of backbench TDs are expressing concern over the lowering the legal blood alcohol limit from 80mg to 50mg per 100ml of blood, which they say is too low.

Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Cork City
Gardaí are investigating after a man was stabbed a number of times in Cork city last night, Sunday 12 May. The 30-year-old was attacked at Ardmore Avenue, Knocknaheeny at around 10.50pm. He is recovering in Cork University Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

Investigation Launched Into Stabbing Death Of Three-Year-Old Boy
An investigation has been launched into the death of a three-year-old boy in an incident in south Dublin. The boy was found with multiple stab wounds at an apartment in the Poddle Park area of Kimmage at about 7pm last night, Monday 10 July.
