Man Fatally Stabbed In Caherciveen, Kerry

An investigation has been launched into a fatal stabbing incident in Caherciveen, Kerry.

A 33-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds in an incident at Fertha Drive in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

He was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Kerry.

A 30-year-old man was arrested a short time after the incident and is currently detained at Killarney Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or have information to contact them at Caherciveen Garda Station on 066-9473600, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Man Remains Critical Following Shooting In Dublin
A 36-year-old man remains in a critical condition following a shooting incident in Dublin. Gardaí are appealing for information after the 36-year-old victim was shot a number of times at around 9:35am at Dun Emer Place, Lusk on Tuesday, 05 July. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.
