Body Of Missing Teenager Elisha Gault Recovered

A body recovered from the River Suir has been confirmed as that of missing teenager Elisha Gault.

The body was seen in the river near Fiddown bridge by the crew of a Coast Guard helicopter as it made its way back to Waterford Airport from a routine operation at about 6pm on Sunday, 25 March.

14-year-old Elisha had been missing from Carrick-on-Suir since St Patrick's Day.

Gardaí confirmed that the body of Elisha was recovered from the water on Sunday night and has been taken to the mortuary in Waterford University Hospital.

Everyone involved in the large scale search operations carried out for the teenage have been thanked for their efforts and told that no further action was needed.

Body Confirmed As Missing Co Kilkenny Man
Gardaí have found the body of a man that was reported missing two weeks ago. The body of Billy Dooley, of Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, was found in a public toilet in the town. It is understood that gardaí had been searching for Mr Dooley for a fortnight. They say that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

The body of missing 19-year-old student Mark Casey has been recovered from the River Shannon at the Canal Bank area in Limerick. Members of the Limerick Search and Rescue team found the body of Mr Casey, who had been missing since 07 March.

A series of public hearings are to be held to discuss the ongoing issues with Waterford Mortuary, after a number of pathologists condemned the condition of the facility. Consultants claimed dead bodies had been left on trolleys at the University Hospital Waterford, causing body fluids to leak on the floor.

Body Recovered In Search For Missing Oyster Farmer
Valentia Coastguard have recovered the body of a man off the coast of Co Clare. The coastguard was searching for a missing oyster fisherman, after four people got into difficulty at Poulnasherry Bay at about 03:25 on Monday morning. It is understood that the fishermen were using tractors and trailers when they got off from the shore.
