Man Found Unconscious On Dublin Street Dies

An investigation has been launched following the death of a man found unconscious in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Friday morning, 01 September.

It is understood the man was homeless and sleeping rough on Suffolk Street, close to Grafton Street.

He was found unconscious on the footpath at about 4am. Emergency services treated the man at the scene but he was later pronounced dead at St James's Hospital.

Anyone who was in the area around the time, or anyone who might have information is asked to contact gardaí.

Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Dissident Republican Accused To Appear In Court
Three of the men arrested on Sunday in relation to dissident republican and criminal activity are to appear before the Special Criminal Court, Green Street, this evening. Yesterday, Gardaí in Dublin announced they had made five arrests in connection with an investigation into dissident republicans in the capital.
