Man Dies In Stabbing Incident

A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning.

It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed.

The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardai are currently investigating the incident and the scene has been preserved.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of the body of man stabbed to death in the early hours of the morning in Ennis, Co Clare. It is understood that the victim is a Polish man (31) attending a party in the town. Gardaí say the man was stabbed a number of times at a house in Sandfield Mews.

Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday. A 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to St James Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Gardai have arrested three people after three people were stabbed at a house in Dublin on Sunday night. The incident occurred on the South Circular Road just before 10pm. One man is believed to be suffering serious injuries, however they are not believed to be life threatening. The other two men received minor injuries.

Man Arrested In Stabbing Incident
Gardaí investigating a fatal stabbing incident in Dublin have made an arrest. On Sunday (17 August), David Sheridan, 45, suffered serious injuries in the incident which occurred at North Strand in the city. He was transferred to the Mater Misericordise University Hospital but later died from his injuries.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem is due to be carried out at University College Hospital in Galway.

Woman's Body Found At House In Co Meath
Gardaí in Co Meath have discovered the body of a woman at a house in Longwood. According to gardaí they discovered the woman's body at around 17:00 on Monday at a house in Edgeworth Court. An injured man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was also found at the scene and is being treated at Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
