Rescue Teams Find Body Of Man On Mount Brandon

The body of a man has been found by rescue teams searching for a missing hillwalker on Mount Brandon in Co Kerry.

A full scale search was launched by Kerry Mountain Rescue and the Dingle Coastguard after the man failed to return to his car on Tuesday, 22 August.

It is understood the walker, who is in his 60s and from the UK, was reported missing later that evening by his wife.

In a statement, Gardai said: "A male (63 years) went missing yesterday on Mount Brandon, found deceased at approx 5pm today nothing suspicious."

The men were detained by Gardaí investigating the discovery of a body at Spring Mount Apartments, Wellmount Road in Finglas. Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Man Greg Ward
Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing missing Dublin man Greg Ward. Mr Ward, 31, was last seen in Blanchardstown on Sunday 3 May. He is described as being 6'2" in height and has a vast amount of tattoos and piercings over his body. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Vernon Mount House Fire Being Treated As Suspicious
Garda investigating a fire at Vernon Mount House in Cork are treating the blaze as suspicious. Emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the historic building at about 10.00pm on Sunday night. Eight fire brigade units spent almost 10 hours tackling the blaze at the house.

AGSI Warn Garda Pay Cuts Are 'Off The Table'
