Man Stabbed In Letterkenny

A man is being treated in hospital after being stabbed a number of times in Co Donegal.

The incident occurred on the Ramelton Road area of Letterkenny at around 4am on Thursday, 01 June. The man, who is said to be in his 20s, was stabbed following an altercation between a number of people.

A woman who intervened is also receiving treatment for a knife wound to her arm.

Both victims were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital.

Their injuries have been described as non-life threatening.

A man in his 30s has been arrested.

Man Dies In Donegal Road Crash
A man has died in a road crash in Donegal. The collision, between a car and a lorry, occurred at Tullytrap on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road, on Thursday, 04 August. The driver of the car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, however he later died from his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle is currently being treated in hospital.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
