Investigation Underway After Man Shot Dead In Dublin

An investigation is underway following the fatal shooting of a man in an underground car park in Dublin on Wednesday, 31 May.

Officers were called to reports of a shooting incident at at 9.55am in the Sheridan Court flat complex, Dublin 1. On arrival, garda discovered a man with apparent gunshot wounds to his body in a VW Golf. The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

According to local reports, the man was 37-year-old Michael Keogh. It is understood his death could be related to an on-going feud between the Hutch and Kinahan criminal gangs.

Earlier that day at at 7.55am, a car bearing false number plates was discovered on fire in a laneway off Clonliffe Avenue, Drumcondra. Investigating Gardaí believe this car is connected to the incident.

The car is described as a grey Opel Astra registration number: 12 D 16387 (False Plates) and was stolen in the Dublin area in April 2017.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to taxi drivers or other motorists who may have camera recording equipment in their vehicle and who were in vicinity of Dorset Street, Clonliffe Avenue and surrounding areas of Dublin between 7am and 10am on Wednesday.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Missing Galway Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Gun Recovered In Dublin Murder Case
A gun has been discovered by Gardaí as part of the investigation into the murder of a 29-year-old man in Dublin. The man was shot dead by a gunman who entered a house in Castlelyon Drive in the Newcastle area of the city shortly before 10.30pm on Thursday night. The man was shot in front of his partner in the upstairs bedroom of the house.
