Male Pedestrian Killed In Hit And Run
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Trim on thursday, 16 February.
Amale pedestrian, aged in his 20s, was found with fatal injuries at the side of the Rathmolyon to Summerhill Road at approximately 8.50pm.
The man is understood to have been hit by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The car involved in the collision failed to remain at the scene.
The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigations and local diversions are in place.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses, anyone with information or to anyone who travelled this road between 8.30pm and 9pm yesterday evening to contact Trim Garda Station on 046-9481540, The Garda Confidential telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Longford on Sunday, 17 July. An 18-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in, as a front seat passenger, collided with a tractor at approximately 11.50pm in Cloonart, Bornacoola. The man was pronounced dead at Mullingar Hospital.

Gardaí in Co Wexford have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident on the N25 at Kilmacree. A woman in her 20s was killed when her car collided with another vehicle at about 12:25 on Sunday. The male driver and female passenger in the other car, both in their 50s, were seriously injured and were also taken to Wexford General Hospital.

At approximately 9am this morning, Wednesday 25th April 2018, a male driver in his 50s and only occupant of a car was fatally injured when the car he was driving struck a stationary trailer.

Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.
