More Than €700,000 Worth Of Drugs Seized In Two Garda Operations

A firearm, ammunition and almost €600,000 worth of drugs have been seized by gardaí in Finglas, Dublin as part of Operation Thor.

In an operation targeting criminal activity in the area, garda seized heroin worth an estimated €400,000, cocaine worth approximately €100,000, and around €80,000 worth of cannabis herb during the planned search of a premises in the Barry area of Finglas.

A firearm and ammunition were also recovered.

A man, aged in his late 30s, was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Elsewhere, Operation Thor officers in Limerick have also seized a quantity of cannabis herb, cocaine, benzodiazepine and alprazolam with a combined estimated value of €126,000.

In a planned search of a premises at Brooksbridge, Pallagreen, garda seized the drugs alongside two firearms, ammunition and a firearm component.

No arrests were made during the operation. An investigation is ongoing.

Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Gardaí in Co Kildare have seized cannabis worth an estimated €800,000. The find was made during a planned search of a house in Crossmorris on Monday. Officers seized 40kg of cannabis herb in the search. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find.

Drugs Worth Over €6m Seized By Garda
Drugs with an estimated street value of €6.3m have been seized in two separate raids in Dublin and Drogheda. Gardaí seized heroin worth an estimated €4.05m when they stopped and searched an articulated lorry on the M1 near Drogheda, Co Louth on Thursday night. Three people have been arrested in connection with the find.

Drugs Worth €720,000 Seized By Garda
As a result of a joint investigation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Officers at Dublin Port, approximately 60kgs of Herbal Cannabis was seized on Friday. The drugs have an estimated street value of €720,000.

Arrests As Drugs Worth €135k Seized In Dublin
A man and woman have been arrested following the discovery of drugs worth an estimated €135,000 in Dublin. As part of an intelligence led operation, Gardaí attached to Crumlin and Sundrive Garda Stations searched two properties in Crumlin and Drimnagh, Dublin 12 yesterday, Thursday 05 December.
