Appeal Issued For Missing 38-Year-Old Man

Gardaí have issued an appeal to trace 38-year-old Hugh Doherty, who has been missing from his home in Cois Caislean, Nurney, Co Kildare, since Sunday, 07 August.

He is described at 6ft 2inches in height, of thin build, with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kildare Garda Station on 045 527730 or the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued Across 11 Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rain across 11 counties. The warning, which came into effect at 7am this morning, is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, when it will be reviewed.

Gardaí Appeal For Missing Teen Nathan Mulligan
Gardaí are appealing for information to trace the whereabouts of 16-year-old Nathan Mulligan. Nathan has been missing from Athy, County Kildare, since Tuesday 21 July 2015. Nathan is described as being 5'10", of athletic build with brown eyes and black hair which is shaved at the sides.

Investigation Launched Over Alleged False Imprisonment
Gardaí have launched an investigation over the alleged false imprisonment and assault of two women in County Kildare last week. The incident happened at Francis Lane, Newbridge, between 9pm on Thursday 14 May and 2pm Friday 15 May. The women, aged 19 and 21, received non life-threatening injuries.

Met Eireann Issues Weather Warning
Met Eireann has updated its weather warning status to orange for the east of the country. This means a further snow warning for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Meath, with accumulations of up to 5cm.

Intel Granted Expansion
Kildare County Council has granted planning permission for computer chip giant Intel to build a a new fabrication plant at its site in Leixlip. The firm lodged a planning application in May. According to RTÉ, the application was for a 162,000 sq metre building which would be used for the construction of its silicon chips.
