Man And Child Killed In Collision On Limerick To Tipperary Road
A man and a young child, believed to be his daughter, have died in a collision on the main Limerick to Tipperary road this morning, 19 July.
According to Garda, the man and child were in a car that collided with a truck at about 8.30am approximately one mile from Brooks Bridge on the Tipperary side of Pallasgreen.
The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision investigators and local diversions are in place. Gardai said the road will remain closed well into the afternoon.
Gardai wish to appeal to anyone who may have witnesses the collision or may have travelled this road between 8am and 8.30amto contact the Gardai at Bruff on 061 382940, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses After Cyclist Is Hit By Bus
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist was hit by a bus in south Dublin. According to gardaí, a 55-year-old woman was hit by a bus while cycling at about 21:40 on Burlington Road on Monday night. She is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital, where her condition is described as serious.

Man Dies In Blarney Road Crash
A man has been killed in a two vehicle road crash that occurred between Parkanna Cross Rd and Davis Cross on the Blarney to Bweeng Road at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday. The man in his 20's was fatally injured when his car collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Second Arrest Made Over Ennis Shooting
A second man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old father of two in Limerick early yesterday morning. Gardai investigating the shooting, which occurred on the Ennis Road outside Limerick said this morning they had made a second arrest, this time of a male in his late 20’s.
