Cocaine Found In Passengers Luggage At Dublin Airport

A quantity of cocaine has been seized by Revenue officers at Dublin Airport.

11kg of cocaine was found in the luggage of a 25-year-old man who arrived at the airport on a flight from Paris.

A search of the passenger’s suitcase revealed four apparently empty rucksacks, each of which was found to have a concealment of cocaine sewn into the back panel. The value of the drugs is in excess of €750,000.

The passenger was arrested at the scene by an Garda Síochána and conveyed to Ballymun Garda Station. He appeared in court this morning charged with the sale, supply and importation of drugs and was remanded in custody for one week by Judge Michael Walsh.
